Willie Frank "Popcorn" Brown

Willie Frank Brown, age 63, passed away August 26, 2024 at Ascension Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

Willie was born January 24, 1961 to Mary Ann Moten and Alvin Brown. He received his formal education in the Austin Public Schools.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents: Alvin Brown and Mary Ann Moten Crittendon; sisters: Marilyn Brown, Veronica Edmondson, and Gwendolyn Brown Goff; brother: Verdell Edmondson.

Willie’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of: his son, Reagus Harvey; stepdaughter, Wendy Jones-Taylor (Julian); both of Austin, Texas. His wife of 34 years, Shelia Dunlap. Nieces: Kesha Brown, Carla Savannah, My’Tesha Anderson (Keayatti), Tammy Edmondson (David), Tedda Edmondson. Nephews: Eric Edmondson, Johnny “Pete” Edmondson, Lorenzo “Lynn” Brown, Wilbert Washington (Andrea), Lamont “Ray Ray” Brown (Stacey) and a host of relatives and friends.
