Wesley Reliford Obituary

Elder Wesley Neal Reliford, was born May 12, 1971 to the late Gene and Shirley Reliford in Newton, Texas.

He moved to Austin, TX in 1991 and was united in marriage to Cynthia “CeCe” Bennett on October 22, 1994. With this union, he gained a daughter that he cherished, Cheré Bennett.

Wesley was a man of many gifts and trades, ranging from technical assembly, automobiles, carpentry, barbecuing, and fishing. Most importantly, he was a Man of God. He was called to preach as a very young man, accepting that call in April of 2000, preaching his first sermon on August 10, 2002 as an associate minister of Greater Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. Ever since, he studied God’s Word diligently and faithfully, leading bible studies, teaching Sunday School, starting and leading a Bible Training Union (BTU), and preaching around the Austin area and beyond. He studied at the Austin Graduate School of Theology and received a Bachelors in Christian Studies in 2016. Wesley also served at Winn’s Memorial and Pleasant Bethany Missionary Baptist Churches of Elgin, TX before being called to Pastor at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Bastrop, TX. Wesley reunited back with the Greater Mt. Moriah church family November 2025.

He made his peaceful transition from earth to Glory April 2, 2026 at his home in Manor, TX. He is preceded in homegoing by his parents, his brothers Lionel and Everette Reliford, grandfather Ira Lank, and mother-in-love Pearlie Bennett.

Wesley will be dearly missed by his wife and daughter as well as his brother Richard Reliford (Katrina). He is also survived and loved by his Father-in-Love Deacon Jimmy Lee Bennett (Pearlie), Sisters-in-Love Xaviera Reliford (Everette), Patricia Bennett, Janice Lee (Nakia), Denice Tinnon (Atwell), and God-Children Kayla Tinnon and Alexander Carwheel, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will also be missed by many brothers in Ministry as well as colleagues of SolarEdge Technologies.
