LIFE REFLECTIONS OF RONALD BERRY

On October 19, 2022 @ 8:30am Ronald Berry transitioned peacefully on his journey to God at the age of 74.

 

Ronald was born March 15,1948 in Austin, Texas to Deacon Lex C. Berry and Mother Lucinda Marie (Coleman) Berry. He grew up in the church attending the Church of God and Christ # 1 with his brothers and sisters where they were taught the way of the Lord.


Ronald attended Austin Public Schools and graduated from Austin High School. Shortly after high school he enlisted in the military branch of the Army and was part of the Vietnam War. Ronald received an honorable discharge.


Ronald was employed at the Old Brackenridge for over 30 years where he retired. During his retirement, Ronald loved spending time playing golf with his buddies and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.


Ronald met and married Carolyn Brown on November 6, 1976. They were soulmates for over 47 years.


Ronald had one child, Ronda Rochell Berry, who passed away September 29,2020.


Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Lex C. Berry, mother Lucinda (Coleman) Berry, brothers: Lex C. Berry Jr, Willie Berry, Kenneth Berry, Carl Berry, and Andrew Berry as well as his sister Carol Berry-Belvin.


In his absence he leaves to cherish all his memories, his soulmate of 47 years Carolyn Berry; his brothers: Richard Berry, David Berry, and Harold Berry; sisters: Margaret Hill and Cynthia Berry; his granddaughters: Christin and Calan, whenever the girls walked into the room it would light up Ronald’s eyes; and other relatives and friends.
