Mary was born in Dallas in 1940 and lived much of her life in New England and Texas.
She was a retired schoolteacher and artist; she taught art to all ages; she enjoyed lakeside living and visiting national parks and art museums. Mary loved teaching art, painting, sewing, crafts and gardening, and nature; she enjoyed cooking and caring for her grandchildren and community. She will be remembered for her contribution to young women by fostering education opportunities through fundraising and mentoring as a member of the philanthropic P.E.O. International.
She was a beloved member of her Church, St. Andrew Presbyterian of Marble Falls, TX, and also involved in her retirement years through her support of the Texas Retired Teacher's Association. Mary was a proud Texan and a documented Daughter of the Republic of Texas.
Mary is honored by her sons, who gave her grandchildren her family names and is survived by her younger sister, Susan. Mary's surviving husband, Daniel, deeply misses her and will never forget Mary as a loving wife and mother.
