MARY LOUISE HEADEN CORZINE was born August 9, 1932, to the late Daniel J. Headen and Rosie L. Jackson Headen in Corpus Christi, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. In 1945, her family moved to Austin, Texas where she united her membership with First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert E. Lee.
Mary graduated from Old L. C. Anderson High School in 1951. She retired form Austin High State Hospital after 16 years of service.
Mary was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Louis Corzine. She moved her membership to Mt. Zion to be with her husband, under the leadership of Pastor S. L. Davis. She served her until the death of her husband, and then returned to First Baptist Church. Mary was a member of Mission I and on the Usher Board under the leadership of Pastor Danny Thomas, until her health began to fail.
Preceding her in death are - Daniel J. Headen and Rosie L. Jackson Headen (parents); six sisters; one brother; and a son.
Sher leaves to cherish her memories: Three sons - Elder Donald R. Thomas (Pam) of Clarksville, TN; Aubrey L. Thomas (Marie) of Austin, TX; and Elder Daniel J. Thomas (Angie) of Austin, TX; One brother - Aubrey Headen; 17 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-children; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
