Lorine Stanfield

Mrs. Lorine Houston Stanfield was born to Sam and Alice Swanks Houston on December 15, 1928, in Travis County Texas. Lorine was born a twin, into the union of 12 children.

Lorine had a big heart, a big smile and loved everyone; she cherished her 4 children and worked hard at Burton's Laundry in Austin to provide for them.  Watching her children grow to adulthood was her joy.  Lorine opened her heart again raising her grandson, Charles, and adopting Latoya, Luther and Lewis, bringing her more joy. Lorine enjoyed and loved her large family and had a very special relationship with her niece, Alice.

Lorine was blessed with 93 years and will be loved and remembered by so many.

Lorine was preceded in death by: Her parents, 2 Husbands, 3 Sisters, 7 Brothers, 1 Daughter in-law, and 1 Son in-law.  She leaves her legacy of love and precious memories with: her twin, Irene Davis of Pflugerville, Texas; 4 sons:  Charlie Houston (Helen) of Adelanto, California; Lawrence Wright (Marie) of Cedar Creek, Texas; Luther Austin of Las Vegas, Nevada; and, Lewis Austin of Austin, Texas.  3 daughters:  Lillie Cleveland of Pomona, California; Georgia Forch (Jerry) of Highland, California; and, LaToya Reed of Austin, Texas.  Her legacy of love will continue through 17 Grandchildren, 49 Great-grandchildren, and 36 Great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
