Jacqueline Mosley Obituary

Jacqueline Suzette "JACKIE" Mosley was born on October 19, 1965, to Susie Mae Keith and John Joseph Mosley in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  She attended Wahiawa Intermediate School in Wahiawa, Hawaii.  She graduated from Morena Valley High School in Riverside, California.  Jackie also attended and graduated from Gary Job Corp in San Marcos, Texas.  Jacqueline was employed by former Travis State School and the Texas State Hospital for years.

Jackie was baptized at an early age at the Base Chapel, Schofield Barracks, Wahiawa, Hawaii.  She attended religious services at the Base Chapel in Riverside, California.  Upon relocating to Texas she united with First Baptist Church in Austin, Texas until her death.  Jackie had a loving attitude.  She never met a stranger, because everyone was a friend.  When her health began to fail her about five (5) years ago, she was admitted to the Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was the president of the residence council and advocate for all the residences.  She will be sadly missed by the Riverside staff members and residences.  One residence in particular - Ms. Patricia Citty (friend and roommate), whom she took under her wings as her "nursing home mother" and also her two daughters - Gail and Cissy Sanders, as her adopted sisters.

Jacqueline met Marvin Washington at Gary Job Corp and they were united in Holy Matrimony; to this union two children were born:  Marc Anthony Washington (son), and Tiffany Jamae Washington (daughter).

Jacquline is preceded by her parental grandparents:  Robert and Blanche Mosley; maternal grandparents:  Joseph Keith and Susan Keith MGill.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memory - her parents, Susie Mae Mayo-Mayes (Clarence) of Kyle, Texas and John Joseph Mosley (Vicky) of Byron, Georgia.

Children:  Marc Anthony Washington (Tailar) of Elgin, Texas and Tiffany Jamae Washington of Pflugerville, Texas.

Brother:  Dedrick Mayo (Elizabeth) of Austin, Texas.  Sister:  Monica Johnson of San Marcos, Texas.

Stepsiblings:  Clarence N. Mayes II (Christine) of Mascoutah, IL; Glenn P. Mayes (Monique), Sonya L. Mayes of Monck Corner, South Carolina; Kim S. Laurinaitis (Lew Mas) of Dupont, Washington; Tuesda Morris of Warner Robins, Georgia and Yolanda Arnold of Atlanta, Georgia.

Three very special friends: Carl Morgan (Austin, Texas); Mary V. Smith (Bunkie, Louisiana); and, Andrea Wallace (Austin, Texas).

Jacqueline also leaves a hosts of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
