Now her work is ended
And she is laid to rest,

Sister Florine Moore, sweetly known as “Aunt Flo” was the oldest child of the late Bertha E. Moore and Isaiah Washington, she was born on Tuesday, January 8, 1935. Living her DASH, she transitioned to her eternal home on Monday, October 3, 2022.
Florine accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mount Zion Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Reverend S. A. Davis. Florine later moved her membership to New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health failed.
During her academic years, Florine attended and graduated from the old L.C. Anderson High School and furthered her education at Austin Community College where she was awarded an Associate Degree in Business Administration.
The cloud of witnesses awaiting her arrival are her parents, Bertha Moore and Isaiah Washington, her brothers, the Reverend Frank Washington, Aaron Washington and Roy Washington, her sister, Linda Joyce Washington and her precious son, Benny Black, Jr.
To cherish loved memories and her priceless legacy of five generations, Florine leaves her children, Emily Mackey, John Sutton, Robert C. Washington (Ionna), David Black (Devin), Sandra Fisher (John); 23 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, her brothers: Robert L. Washington (Joyce), Arthur L. Washington (Edna), Woodrow Washington, Carl Washington, Martin Washington, Clarence Washington and Darryl Washington (Juanita); her sisters: Julia Williams, Earnestine Clark (Leon), Mary Darlene McClintock (Raymond) and Mary Lee Moore; along with a host of other relatives and friends, including New Bethel Church family.
