Ethel Lee Stallings... Born July 10, 1936 to Eloise and Willie Williams in Castleberry, Alabama.
The couple moved to Pensacola, Florida in (about) 1943 where Ethel attended and graduated from Booker T Washington High School. She moved to Austin Texas in (about) 1960 where she had some college experiences, completing some courses at Austin Community College. Between 1962- 2006, she received several Certifications and Appreciation Awards.
She received Christ as her personal savior early in life under the guidance of her mother, Eloise Ghaskin. She served as an Usher on the Usher Board at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Austin, Texas. She also attended church at Winn’s Memorial Baptist Church in Elgin, Texas with her companion, Earnest Thompson. She traveled all over Central Texas supporting her daughter Ella Carr while she sang with the Gospel Group called, “The Voices of Faith” of Austin, Texas.
Ms. Ethel Stallings was employed for many years and held Supervisory positions at several places of employment; those positions included her role as Supervisor for Austin State School and Travis State School. Her further employment encased the role of Supervisor for MHMR Housing with Premieant, Inc., and a Supervisor at Greater Austin Transportation Company in Austin, Texas. Ethel was also a Certified/Licensed Insurance Agent for Reliable Life Insurance Company.
On Sunday - September 17th of 2023, at about 7pm, Ethel was called into the Kingdom of God to join her parents (Willie Williams, Henry Ghaskin and Eloise Ghaskins); her husbands (Lenwood Stallings and Henry Morris); and her siblings (Willie Lee Williams and Lois Williams).
Ms. Stallings leave to cherish her memories: son - Gregory Morris; daughters - Debra Nelson, Ella Carr, and Charlene Morris (all of Austin, TX); sister - Mary Jones (Pensacola, FL); a host of Grandchildren, Nieces Nephews, other relatives and Friends.
