Earnestine (Tine) York

Earnestine (Tine) Gooden York was born in Austin, Texas to the union of Thomas). and Everine Gooden on August 9, 1940. Tine attended A/SD Public School. So as a young child (Tine) placed her faith and hope in Christ, was baptized and united with the Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. E.L. Lee, pastor. Tine began her Spiritual gifts in Ushering, singing with the Young Adult Choir, Senior Choir and Mission I member where she worked faithfully.

She did domestic work for Austin Independent School District (A/SD) and private home duty.

Earnestine (Tine) was united in Holy Matrimony to the union one child was born. Earnestine (Tine) was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. Gooden and Everine Shelton Gooden; daughter, Lugina York Jones; her sister, Lorine Hardin; brother, T.J. Gooden Jr.; nephews:  Jerome Gooden, Eddie Hardin Jr., Altee Hardin, Doughlas Gooden; and two nieces: LaVerne Lee and LaVette Williams.

Her life will not be forgotten in memories of her loving sisters:  Doris Hughes and Mildred Brown of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren:  Falana, Glenneth (Susan), Dominick (Gabrielle), Candice (Larry), 13 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. And a host of relatives and friends, including a special friend - Vernell Gooden.
