Delores Houston

Delores Houston, age 73, of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026 at her home.

Born on February 26, 1953 in Austin, Texas, Delores was the oldest daughter of Herman Sharpe and Mattie Washington. She graduated from the old L. C. Anderson High School in 1971.  She worked at many jobs.

Known for her energetic and fun-loving personality, Delores was passionate about table games, dominoes, spades and was an exceptional pool player.  She loved to dance, listen to music, and party with family and friends.  Delores will be remembered for her kindness, meekness, humor, and generosity.

Delores is survived by her mother, Mattie Washington; Aunt, Johnny Demps-Williams; Sisters Deborah Taylor, Flonnie Price, and Joyce Daniel; Brothers Johnny Sharpe, Michael Price, David Price (Glenda), Otis Sharpe, Kenneth Price (Sheila), Kent Price (Latrice), several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Donald Williams.
