DAVID SCOTT LEE, the youngest child of Geraldine S. and Walter Lee, was born on April 18, 1963, in Newburg, New York at West Point Hospital. He left this world on January 6, 2025, at 6:33 pm, at the Christopher House in Austin, Texas while family members stood by his side.
David’s first three years of life were spent in Chateauroux, France with his family where his father was stationed in the Air Force. David was a graduate of Mitchell High school in Colorado.
The Lee family has lived in Austin, Texas for over forty years.
David was preceded in death by: his paternal grandfather, Walter Lee; grandmother, Ethel Lee; his maternal grandfather, William Hicks; and grandmother, Beatrice R. Hicks, all of Mount Vernon, New York.
David was divorced from the former Sandra McClure of San Antonio, Texas. However, to that union there was one daughter, Desiree Delane Major. David was also father to: James Ragan, David Ryan Holmes, Destine Sada Lee, Chyna Lee, and Bryson Dye. David was grandfather to: Davin Lee Stevens and Evan Williams.
David will be truly missed by: his two sisters - Donna Wynette Simmons (Christopher), and Debra Lynn Lee; a bonus daughter, Andrea Hunter; two nieces, Christina Ward and Athena Harp; nephew, Dmitri Brittman; and great-nephew, Avery Brittman; three aunts that he adored, Mary Jones, (second Mom), Nancy Kirkland, Marcia Hines; many cousins and friends on the East Coast, here in Texas and Louisiana.
David knew the Lord and made peace with him as he stated to his mother, “I am ready to go home.”
