Charnia Annette “Nay” Mansion was born on May 17, 1978, in Austin, Texas, to Jeannie Mansion and Charles Carrington Sr. Charnia's legacy is defined by her unwavering dedication and the profound love she shared with those around her.
Charnia was a radiant soul whose warmth and compassion touched everyone she met. As a sister, she was a constant source of encouragement, embodying the love that binds a family together. Her loyalty and comforting presence provided a safe harbor during life’s storms. As a mother, her quiet strength and boundless devotion created a nurturing home filled with kindness and cherished memories. Those who knew her recognized her profound empathy and generosity; she was always ready to lend ahelping hand, to listen intently, and to lift others up. Her love was not only expressed in words but also in the small, meaningful actions that permeated her daily life. Charnia had a unique ability to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary, and her spirit made hard times easier to bear.
Though her physical presence has departed, the echoes of her sweetness and compassion remain with us. We vow to honor her memory by living with greater kindness, cherishing one another with the fierce love that she exemplified, and spreading warmth in her absence. Charnia, your love was a precious gift, and we are grateful for every moment, smile, and heartbeat we shared together.
She is survived by: her daughter: Charniqua Brazell; son: Lonnie Burke; two aunts: Brigida Holmes, Joan Carrington; uncle: Byron Mansion; four sisters: Nitasia Mansion, Latoria Mansion, Lakesha Carrington, and Kimberly Carrington; four brothers: Charles Carrington Jr., Charles Skyes, Carlos Carrington, and Derrick Carrington; grandchildren: Dae'jon Mackey, Josiah Burke, Jayden Burke, Jermory Burke, Lalonnie Burke, Claude Wallace, Cha'nya Wallace, and a long list of cousins, family, and friends.
You will be forever missed, but your legacy of love will live on in our hearts.
