She graduated from Rosenwald High School in 1965. Sister Cathy decided she wanted better for her life, so she packed up and moved to Austin, Texas in April of 1979. Sister Cathy was working faithfully in the church, serving the lord when she needed the assistance of Deacon Johnnie Mims to work on her car. He came to the rescue and little did we know, this would be the beginning of a beautiful love story. After the passing of Pastor Carlton Mims, she remained faithful to the Mims Chapel Church, under the leadership of Pastor Michael Mims. While working in her local church District Missionary Juanita Glover promote her to the Business and Professional Women's Auxiliary where she worked passionately for 13 years. Every she spearheaded a one-day Women's Conference, and each year many women were blessed for her efforts. Despite her challenges, she remained dedicated to the work of the Lord. Her last conference in August 2021 was her best and final one.
