Anthony Booker Russell was born on October 16, 1962, to Booker T. and Evelyn Russell in Austin, Texas.
Anthony accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Mt Zion Baptist Church. He matriculated through Austin Public Schools, attending Oak Springs and Pecan Springs Elementary, Pearce Middle. and LBJ High schools.
Anthony worked various jobs, and detailing cars was his favorite until he couldn't any longer. He was an avid football fan. He loved the game and played Little League as a little boy. Watching television and football was among his favorite pastimes.
On September 13, 2025, at the age of 62. Anthony passed away. He was preceded in death by his devoted father. Booker T. Russell Jr., grandfathers, Booker T. Russell Sr .. Melvin Meeks Sr .. and grandmothers Ida Mae Russell and Willie Mae Meeks.
Anthony is survived by his loving mother, Evelyn M. Russell, and his son, Corey D. Russell; sister Antoinette Russell Rivers (Charles), brothers Adrian Russell (Ethel) and Andre Russell (Diane). four grandchildren, Cameran, Zahra, Cori, and Nasir, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Everyone who knew Anthony admired his strength and independence. He would spend hours going up and down the isles of Walmart and HEB. Anthony was a kind-hearted man that was loved by those whose paths he crossed His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and will be missed forever.
